A collaboration with my old friend Bill. We formed the band Killing Floor together back in 1968 and still get together occasionally to bash out some blues. I always enjoy working with Bill. He has a robust outlook on life and always makes me laugh.

He plays a distinct Slim Harpo style harp, and his voice is unique. As our friend Mac used to say it's like he has a built in compressor in his vocal cords.

Bill's re-written the lyrics to this old Rufus Thomas classic, employing the walking the dog phrase as a drugs euphemism. I'm not sure I fully understand it all, but then I never understood the original lyrics either. Anyway we laid the track down with some heavy bass and a lot of attitude. I think it works pretty good.

Bill also employed a rather distressed looking AI lady for a video, dragging a notional dog through the drab backstreets of a nameless city. Blues eh? Walkin' the Dog.
