Mick writes:

We were rocking hard back in 1989 and touring regularly all over Europe and in the USA. In Bremen, Germany we used to play a club called the Meisenfrei.. (still there now) which was always a riot.

But we were offered this spot on Radio Bremen so we rolled up to a much smaller club, the Romer, and played to a select audience for this live concert, now brought to you by courtesy of MiG Records.

Listening to the tracks now after all these years I'm struck by the tightness and energy of the band. We were young (ish). I would have been about 39.. (that's young now from the vantage point of a 76 year old).

And wow there's some energy there.. all five of us giving it everything. I couldn't single anyone out, all of us were using our various talents to the max. A rocking rhythm section and great soloing by Kerry Canfield and Chris Lloyd-Baron.

So.. we can't roll back the years physically, but we can pour a beer and relive those wild times on stage. I think we can all be proud of this full tilt blues rock extravaganza. Shake that Boogie.

'Mick Clarke made rock history as the guitarist of the British psychedelic blues-rock band Killing Floor. The Killing Floor album "Uranus" (1970) is considered a milestone in the genre. Mick Clarke toured with Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Freddie King, and Otis Spann. The setlist included classics by John Lee Hooker, Willie Dixon, and Elmore James. A great live concert, recorded on May 17, 1989, at the Romer in Bremen (Germany) by Radio Bremen.'
