From one of the classic blues guitar albums of all time - Albert King's "Born Under A Bad Sign". I remember that this album was almost legendary when it came out, being quite hard to get hold of in the UK. I eventually tracked down a copy in South Molton St. Well worth the hunt - every track is a gem with Albert's sturdy guitar and the fabulous funk of the Stax rhythm section.
"Oh Pretty Woman" was a popular track for bands of the time to cover. I think Savoy Brown did it - certainly John Mayall did with Mick Taylor. Later Gary Moore had a bash at it with Albert himself guesting.
So I couldn't resist having a go.. that riff! I've tried to keep the funk of the original, in a different way, with my own style of guitar stabs.. I'm pretty happy with the result.
Hope you enjoy it. The track will also be on the forthcoming "Blues It Up, Vol. 2" EP.
