Howlin' Wolf's "Killing Floor" has always been a bit special to me. For a start we named our first band after it.. Bill Thorndycraft suggested it while we were sitting in a Wimpy Bar in Wardour St, Soho. I think it's a great name for a band. .. (unfortunately a few other bands have thought the same over the years).

Later we got to actually meet and work with Wolf himself and I got to see him perform the song live. Later still I got to play a show with Hubert Sumlin, and was honoured to be asked to tune his guitar for him! I'm not worthy.

And it's a great song with that classic riff.. in fact two classic riffs working together perfectly. So here's my take on the song - a little slower with a kind of disco beat. I've tried to capture a little Hubert in the guitar as a tribute. I hope you enjoy the music.
