Here's my version of the Jimmy Reed Chicago Blues classic "I Ain't Got You".

I was a little wary about trying this one, as for blues rock it's hard to beat the Yardbirds version from back in the 60s..(B side of their first single, "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl"). At first I tried a kind of heavy version, but that came out a bit naff, so I switched to a sort of Maxwell St busking band approach..(at least in my head), and laid down a loose and raucous guitar solo on the Danelectro. I tried to avoid some of the obvious cliches of the song, and also bring out the lyrics, which I'd never really been able to hear before. (I've got a charge account at Goldblatt's - cool).

Anyway I think it rocks and I hope you enjoy it - be sure to check out the original Jimmy Reed version also. The track will also be on the album "Telegram" later in the year.
