Grown Up Wrong

Releasing on all platforms Friday 10th October 2025.

Mick writes:

A Rolling Stones song from one of their early EPs or B-sides.. can't remember which. I get an immediate image of 14 year old Mick Clarke sitting in the front room of the family home in suburban London, carefully picking out the notes to the riffs and chords on his Rosetti guitar.

And I always liked the economical, effective riff on this song. So simple to play.. just get yourself a D shape on the guitar and the riff kind of falls out it.

So I thought why not give it a go, sixty odd years later. And it think it works.. rocks along pretty good and it was a lot of fun to record. 'Grown Up Wrong' by Keith Richards and Mick Jagger. Thanks guys.

Mick Clarke - Grown Up Wrong Well you've grown up all wrong
Yeah you've grown up all wrong
You come on too strong
Well you've grown up all wrong
Well you were easy to fool when you were in school, but
You've grown up all wrong

Well you've grown up all mean
Well you've grown up all mean
Don't believe what I seen
Well you've grown up all mean
Well you look so sweet when you're in your seat, but
You've grown up all mean

Well you've grown up too fast
Yeah you've grown up too fast
Well I ain't no fool and I'm through with you
Well you've grown up too fast
