SALT All Wired Up Mick writes.. All Wired Up was recorded at Pathway, the small North London studio where Elvis Costello recorded some of his early hits. I played a sunburst Les Paul which had been loaned to me by a friend of our roadie, Chris, through my Marshall 100 watt. Stevie Smith sang and played harp through a small amp and Stuart Mac McDonald was on bass. Our drummer was "Slash" - Colin Nash, a friend of Mac's from Mid-Wales who had been with us for some months. The album was released on Raw Records, a punk label. The music has a raw energy but is definitely not punk. However, those were the times - we were playing dates with the Sex Pistols, Damned, Stranglers etc. There is certainly a late 70s edge to the music, although SALT had never been short of energy! All Wired Up was popular with our fans on release and has become a collectors item over the years. 01 Keep Your Mother Worrying 02 All Wired Up 03 Talking with the Blues 04 The Cobra's melody Stevie Smith - Vocals, Harp Mick Clarke - Guitar / Vocals Stuart McDonald - Bass Slash - Drums Matt Irving - Keyboards on Key to the Highway Recorded at Pathway Studio, London Produced by Bill Gillian and SALT |
