Mick writes:

Written by the great country music writer Don Gibson, this was of course a massive pop / soul hit for Ray Charles. Always takes me back to Sunday lunchtimes - two way family favourites and the smell of roast beef - British readers of a certain age will understand.

Anyway here's my blues rock version of the song, set to a solid shuffle with soloing on the Strat. It's long - five minutes, but such a great song.

This will also be on my E.P. 'City Boy' releasing 1st September. Hope you enjoy.

Mick Clarke - I Can't Stop Loving You I can't stop loving you
I've made up my mind
To live in memory of the lonesome kind
I can't stop wanting you
It's useless to say
So I'll just live my life in dreams of yesterday

Those happy hours that we once knew
Tho' long ago, they still make me blue
They say that time heals a broken heart
But time stood still since we've been apart

I can't stop loving you
I've made up my mind
To live in memory of the lonesome kind
I can't stop wanting you
It's useless to say
So I'll just live my life in dreams of yesterday

Those happy hours that we once knew
Tho' long ago, they still make me blue
They say that time heals a broken heart
But time stood still since we've been apart

I can't stop loving you
I've made up my mind
To live in memory of the lonesome kind
I can't stop wanting you
It's useless to say
So I'll just live my life in dreams of yesterday
